About Us

Our driving school is locally owned and operated. We service all of Thunder Bay and area. Our instructors are owners and have taught our youth, young adults and seniors here in Thunder Bay for many years. They all have a passion for what they do and this is shown both in-car and in-class. Our success rate for road tests are exemplary!

Our instructors come highly recommended by former students, parents and have built much of their clientele on referrals. The team at Behind The Wheel Driving School Academy, Inc. provides the best in-class and in-car training for a novice driver or an existing driver looking to upgrade their skills. They teach updated rules of the road and the latest techniques to promote and create safe, responsible and cooperative drivers.

Our driving school offers an MTO approved Beginner Driver Education program which provides a certification upon completion. This can aid in reducing insurance costs. We look forward to keeping you safe on the roads.

Classes will run mainly on weekends which will be 2 Saturdays and Sundays - 5 hours of class (20 hours) plus a lunch break.

Our Instructors are Certified through Humber College in-car and In-class Course and a Canada Pro Drivers Certificate. We work with the knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act.
